Five mad men and one wild monkey is one way to describe the bridge, unique different and an experience that will blow your mind are others. For the past eight months the bridge have left a path of destruction with their raw punch of music and hedonistic actions.
At times you can see that this band have been influenced by the likes of The Doors and Led Zeppelin but this is their music their sound and I doubt there will be anything else like them in the country. Robert Goughs vocals are edgy and at times cut right through you, at times it appears he has modelled himself on Liam Gallagher by the 'I think I'll place my hands behind my back' pose but he isn't Liam Gallagher although he does come with attitude. With Mike 'the flares' Bee on Lead Guitar and Jon Doyle on Rhythm guitar the bridge pretty much got every aspect covered there is even a monkey on congo's. See the one thing you wouldn't expect with such a 'scally' looking band is that you can dance to their music but you can and that's what helps to blow your mind. Outstanding performance however, has to go Marcus 'bones' Hickson, not just for his musical ability but for his courageous dress sense. This man is destined to be a star, as I don't know many other people who could get away with just wearing a g-string (and not the guitar kind) on stage (strippers excluded). With songs like Ramblin with guitar fuelled angst and lyrically Mr Mister the bridge have a vibe that moves you and at times the beats just to strong and you can feel your head banging along and to summarise using a quote from Mr Bee "We're The Bridge and the times coming where everyone is gonna have to cross us" Enough said!
